Top 2015 Memories and Making more in 2016


As we now enter 2016, this year I am sealing a envelope with all my hopes and goals for 2016. My hubby has done the same. We haven't shown each other what we have written and we plan to open them December 2016 and see how many we have achieved. Are you thinking of doing something similar?

As girls, we have a habit of putting ourselves down and I'm always telling myself, I haven't accomplished much and it wasn't until I saw my Facebook story that I thought. Actually I have accomplished some big things this year and maybe I need to just cut myself a break... (that goes for all you girls out there!)

This year I'm going to make a jar full of memories. Maybe this is a good way we can always remind ourselves to dwell on postive and happy memories. I'm also hoping to get some Polaroid film and fill my living room with Polaroid memories.

These are my highlights of 2015

6th March - Buying our first house  (thrilled with it, even if we will spend the next 5 years renovating) 😂



•  18th March - I Passed my driving test!!! (Man this mean't so much to me as driving lessons gave me the worst anxiety.)

April- It was a first in my modelling career to play the main lead in a music video where I had to jump off buildings and be drowned in water!

May, June 
It was also a first to see myself on a story book cover. I loved this job and this actually gave me the idea for adventureland back last year!



June, July - For our wedding anniversaries, we always try and go on an adventure and for 2015 we went to Egypt. I loved all the activities we did, they were super fun, it was just a shame that while we was there the Tunisan bombings happened and we had an earthquake which made me proper scared! Such a fascinating country though and great to spend time with my best friend. Without hubby I wouldn't have the confidence to do half the stuff j do. His always motivating me and telling me I can be whatever I want too.


21st September 
We offically launched our new business venture, The Blogger Agency.  www.thebloggeragency @thebloggeragency After brainstorming and working our bums off in the summer to get ready, we launched our most exciting venture yet. I realised all established bloggers and influencers needed to be paid for all their hard work with brands and this industry needed guidance and help. We became one of the first agencies of its kind in the UK and internationally and now as a managing director, it keeps me seriously busy! With big plans for 2016 which I can't quite share with you yet but put this way worldwide plans, I'm extremely proud of what our agency represent's and every individual around the world that works with us. Every one inspire's me in some way daily.


November/ December 2015

After spending the last 6 months working every second of the day/night rain or shine....well you get the picture, I was really relived to to be remote working and travelling/ seeing friends for a few weeks in Mexico. My highlight was staying in a treehouse!  I really think travelling and learning about different cultures is the most exciting/rewarding thing you can do in your life. 






2016

The end of the year was spent in a completely, well nearly... work free zone enjoying friends and family in the UK. I feel like I'm ready for 2016 so BRING IT ON!! ...(even if I am currently battling flu.)😂  I apologise for the lack of social posts and delay on the adventureland sale. I will try my hardest to keep making the world more mermaidy.(The adventureland sale will be going on over the next few days.)

I would love to hear your highlights of 2015, of course remember these are my highlight's and not every day is crazy exciting.😂 We all have moments of low's and that's totally normal and ok but positivity and looking forward is what will always keeps us all going. One of my aims of 2016 is to keep my blogs as honest and unedited as possible so hope you all enjoy reading them. I Send all of you winter mermaid loving! ðŸ˜˜ðŸ’•💓

EAT YOUR WAY FIT


Bonjuer you beauties,

So this post is all about eating clean and keeping keen!  Spring is the perfect time to overhaul your food and exercise routine. I've always been in love with being completely make up free, healthy skin and hair and that requires effort!


Illness & Me

It's no secret that since I was a teenager I've battled like crazy with being pretty darn I'll and feeling stupidly tired. (This has brought bouts of feeling down as unfortunately its been a blooming long time.) I do know though that if your eating really healthy it does have a big affect on us though inside and out, so if your similar to me and struggling with illness or well just wanna improve your heath, here is a helpful read and tips!


KNOW YOUR FOOD FACTS

They say knowledge is power and it really is... for me learning that the average person has 20,000 chemicals that are unable to ever be broken down in the stomach....it scared me....a lot!  See a lot of people don't realise that eating processed foods like microwave meals and having food allergies is filling your body with inflammation. Your basically poisoning yourself every time you eat processed foods. It is very heavily linked with things like anxiety,mental health,chronic illness,hormonal problems,cancer,diabetes and literally the list goes on... I'm not saying your be completely healed by eatting good foo but it can help, so if your feeling a bit pants, try some of these tips and see if it helps.

WHERE TO START AND JUICING





Buy a juicer and try a juice fast. Sometimes people feel pretty ill in the first 3 days of trying this but sometimes it's just the body trying to adjust. If you feel really rough and like you can't hack it you may have a slightly weaker immune system like me and you may need to ease your way in. Eat real meals and juice one meal a day. This is what I do. Usually juicing my breakfast. Remember this is still prob wayyyyyy more fruit and veg then you would eat usually.

So I know what your thinking you said about no processed food...that's like nearly all food.
True it is more effort eating healthy and it takes more thinking and time but if you feel rough enough  and you wanna improve your body enough and you start seeing you stomach stop blotting you can DO it! If I can you can do it you can....I literally used to eat 2 chocolate trifles for breakfast and cake for lunch. HELP!

MY INSPO AND SHOPPING LIST


Here's what's on my usual shopping list in case you need some inspo and I have included some meal ideals below. And yes bread is a sin in my house. Everything I eat is currently inflammatory, gluten free,wheat free food. I try not to have dairy but I'm a sucker for a bit of cheese and a yogurt now and again and on weekends I do let myself have a day or two of when I see friends or I'd go a bit Cray cray!

6 WEEKS RESULTS


I can honestly say if you start eating anti-inflammatory foods then you will see some results in your skin,(no need for makeup)I am already starting to see a change and have more glowy skin. health and if you combine this with a good fitness routine then your body is gonna look good! Who knows you may even see an ab or two.gulp!  Maybe try a new sport. In the last week I've been jogging for the first time. It's killing me but its fun to try new sports.  Don't expect results straight away though..it takes 6 weeks to see changes!

FIT FOR SUMMER







FITNESS INTRO

YO SUPERBABES!


Right so this week, I'm writing about a few tips and pieces that are perfect for making your work out just that bit more fun and sassy and fit!

 People often ask me how I keep fit and how I must feel under pressure to be fit, with working doing modelling. Honestly I do feel some pressure to keep fit. I am naturally pretty thin but as I keep telling people thin does not mean fit and healthy!!!!

 I must confess, I've had a tough few months and I'm probably the most out of shape I've been in a long time. (Moving back in with my ma and pa has been hardcore and there is hardly any space to work out at... )
They have all gone on holiday though, so I have the perfect chance to rearrange the house and make some space. Although today was SUNNY and I was actually able to get outside! YAY!

Over the next few months, I will give some of my fitness secrets, tips and exercises in the count down to summer which I think are fantastic and work for me and youtube videos to watch etc. Count this blog as an introduction. I'm personally a strong believer in little and often. That's what works for me but feel sure to work out whats right for your body. I try and do 10 minutes in the morning and 10-15 minutes 4-5 times a week. Usually weekends I would give myself the weekend off or do one session.





WORK OUT GEAR!

SASSY FUN AND DURABLE WORK OUT EQUIPMENT
So my pilates and balancing mat is called a Usa Pro one and I got from sports direct. I must confess have 3 yoga mats!  The others were cheaper and to be honest you can tell! This one is properly non slip ,doesn't roll up unless you want it too, and comes with a handy shoulder strap so you can carry it easy. I paid £15.99 but now you can get it in the sale for £7.99  I 100 % recommend it!!

And this little baby I got from Tiger! Tiger is so the new Ikea!  Girls they have some fantastic and cheap work out goodies in there!  This wobble board £5.00 is fab for your inner core,balance and getting your ankles stronger. DO IT

Your notice most of my work out stuff is pink. It's not cos i'm a bimbo, it's because it's the perfect reminder that you can be girly and sporty! I see too many girls palm off excuses about sport or work out not beingvery girly. Fortunately in my life time I am seeing such a HUGE attitude change. IF you wanna play rugby with the lads in the park, DO IT!!! If you want to be a 'sicck' skateboarder, get learning and DO IT!  Be whatever you want to be and don't EVER care what people think of you!

How to spot if 'YOUR A MERMAID IN THE CITY' & 'DRESS LIKE ONE TOO'

HOW TO SPOT IF YOUR A MERMAID IN A CITY!

Sadly not all mermaid's can live by the sea...(Just mainly those lucky Australian girls you see on Insta with those perfect six packs, green smoothies for lunch,strawberries for breakfast being fed by their romantic surfer boyfriends and that perfect sunshine!) Help Me I can't cope with it...
but of course we all follow one or two... Our insta motivation on another pants grey weather day in London, Paris,New York or wherever you are................? 

So anyhow's how to spot if 'YOUR A MERMAID IN A CITY'?! 


(Answer these questions below 

and see if you find yourself going YES YES YES!)


1. You have dyed hair that's trying to be red like Ariel or maybe it's pink or blue or its gone a kinda 

weird brown colour where its been dyed so much!

2. People get sick of you moaning about summer...


3. All your wardrobe consists of Hot Pants and bikini's which you keep just in case you get that           ' Record Heatwave summer' that the radio presenter has been promising for the last 5 years.


4. You spend half your life stalking hot surfers Instagram's.


5. You've put lemon on your hair before because you have heard it goes blonder in the sun.


6. When your at peoples house's and you spend half your time sat on the nearest radiator.


7. You can't concentrate at work or school because your planning when is the quickest time you can earn enough money to leave your job and go on your next travelling trip...(another excuse to stalk instagram for *cough* places to go surfing!)


8. You don't brush your hair and its full of knots because you just don't see the point, I mean did Ariel brush her hair? I think not!

10. Your hair has gone green before because you spent so much time in the local swimming pool practing kicking with your legs together like a fish!


11. Water is the ultimate lifesaver, you can't drink enough of it and your paranoid of getting old if don't drink 2 litres a day.


12.  Being barefoot is how you spend as much time as possible and these days you can't even be bothered to wear heels out.


13. People sometimes describe you or your clothing as,"wacky,out there, bright, unusual," or use expressions like "Hmm wow, only you could get away that".


14. You response is usually, "your lucky I'm wearing clothes as i'd rather not be."


15. Right now, your dreaming of a white beach, drinking water out of a coconut, in a shell bra...

MERMAID HAIR AND EARS

So todays blog,I chose to write about two things that I like to think I know about and love! I love eyebrows and thanks to Cara everyone is loving them too!






1. How To Deal With Unruly Eyebrows.



This kit is from Collection and is 5.99 and honestly I think its awesome. I use the middle shade, the lighter brown but not the lightest shade.

Honestly, if you have eyebrows and you wanna enhance them or you just want some eyebrow's, I can not recommend these products enough. I give 5/5 stars for both these products. I 100 % won't recommend any products in any of my blogs, I don't believe in and use myself.

SKIN TIPS


"Skin oh Skin,"... my favourite subject.. having had, pretty good skin through out my teenage years, yes  I was one of those annoying lucky ones... (although I was always seriously careful what I used on it) THEN 2 or 3 years ago ..BAM! Hormonal acne...! HELP!


In the last 12 months I've managed to combat this and now I'm not really having any breakouts apart from a couple, of spots at that horrible time of the month for us girls.

I really do feel, you have to make your skin good from the inside. For me personally,
St Johns Wart and Acidophilus tablets have saved my life and skin.....(yay no more moody slightly depressed Lo!!!)

Here's a really quick history lesson on who I am (YAWN!)

I own a little company called www.adventurelanduk.com
I grew up on a little holiday island called Tenerife.This fed my fascination with the ocean and its creatures. I was a total wild beach girl and my nickname was Mowgli. As a teenager we moved back to London where I was signed as an Agency model. I have currently been working as a model and in marketing for about 6 years! I adore all sorts of sport and think sporty girls are so motivating! From skiing to horseriding to football seriously can't get enough of it.
"Adventureland was thought up while I was on a job shooting a princess fairytale book. I thought about how much I would like all girls to have that feeling that you get when you dress up and feel like a princess!!"
I like to think of Adventureland as a affordable place where you can live out part of your own fairytales.
